Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
A chopper soaring above a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly began spiraling out of control, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Footage posted online show the aircraft commencing to spiral above the shoreline then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
